Windows XP Service Pack 2

This article only applies to users of Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2 using Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6 web browser.

Turning off the irritating warning messages...

Due to security measures implemented in Service Pack 2 for Windows XP, users may notice a series of annoying "security" error messages when using this disk, similar to those described in Using the CD ROM.

These can be permanently switched off if you wish. Here's how...

From Internet Explorer click the 'Tools' | 'Internet Options...' menu.

The Internet Options dialog should appear. (Note, this dialog is also available from the Windows Control Panel.)

On the Internet Options dialog...

1. Click 'Advanced' tab
2. Scroll down to the 'Security' section
3. Tick...
   • 'Allow active content from CDs to run on My Computer'
   • 'Allow active content to run in files on My Computer'
4. Click OK

That's it.
